This artwork by Xu Hualing achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (II) auction, the work Fragrance sold for HKD 230,000.00 (€ 21,825.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Hualing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Outside The Window 1 in October this year with an auction result of HKD 2,400,000.00 (€ 290,234.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Hualing erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (II) wurde die Arbeit Fragrance für HKD 230.000,00 (€ 21.825,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Hualing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Outside The Window 1 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.400.000,00 (€ 290.234,67).
