Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xu Hualing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Composition sold for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,723.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Hualing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Outside The Window 1 in October this year with an auction result of HKD 2,400,000.00 (€ 290,234.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Hualing erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Composition für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.723,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Hualing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Outside The Window 1 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.400.000,00 (€ 290.234,67).
