Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xu Hualing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Aroma 2-10 sold for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 49,775.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Hualing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Outside The Window 1 in October this year with an auction result of HKD 2,400,000.00 (€ 290,234.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Hualing erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Aroma 2-10 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 49.775,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Hualing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Outside The Window 1 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.400.000,00 (€ 290.234,67).
