The work Flowers by Xiong Meiyi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 10,620.00 (€ 1,213.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Meiyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in October this year for HKD 33,600.00 (€ 4,063.29).

Die Arbeit Flowers von Xiong Meiyi wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 10.620,00 (€ 1.213,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Meiyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für HKD 33.600,00 (€ 4.063,29) versteigert wurde.
