Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flower by Xiong Meiyi was sold in the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. The price achieved of HKD 5,900.00 (€ 669.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiong Meiyi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in October this year with an auction result of HKD 33,600.00 (€ 4,063.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flower von Xiong Meiyi wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.900,00 (€ 669,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiong Meiyi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.600,00 (€ 4.063,29).
