In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Flower by Xiong Meiyi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 10,620.00 (€ 1,120.58), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Meiyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in October this year for HKD 33,600.00 (€ 4,063.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower von Xiong Meiyi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 10.620,00 (€ 1.120,58) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Meiyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für HKD 33.600,00 (€ 4.063,29) versteigert wurde.
