Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Spring Towards 2008 by Xiong Lijun for USD 34,000.00 (€ 21,512.18). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Xiong Lijun have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2007 by the work Don'T Educate Me at USD 37,000.00 (€ 26,021.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Spring Towards 2008 von Xiong Lijun für USD 34.000,00 (€ 21.512,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Xiong Lijun wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2007 die Arbeit Don'T Educate Me mit USD 37.000,00 (€ 26.021,52).
