Auction result well in line with expectations
The work So Happy!! by Xiong Lijun was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,490.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Lijun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Don'T Educate Me, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 37,000.00 (€ 26,021.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit So Happy!! von Xiong Lijun wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.490,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Lijun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Don'T Educate Me beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 37.000,00 (€ 26.021,52) versteigert wurde.
