Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work My Position #2 by Xie Qi was auctioned at Bonhams in London in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 3,520.00 (€ 414.06). Admittedly, works by Xie Qi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work His Pride - Her Victory in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 3,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit My Position #2 von Xie Qi im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 3.520,00 (€ 414,06) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Qi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit His Pride - Her Victory im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.750,00.
