Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xie Qi could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Gift changed hands for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 2,044.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Xie Qi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2008 by the work His Pride - Her Victory at EUR 3,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Qi konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Gift für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 2.044,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Xie Qi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2008 die Arbeit His Pride - Her Victory mit EUR 3.750,00.
