This artwork by Xiao Xun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Mountains In The Clouds sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xiao Xun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape Album sold at auction in October 2016 with the realized price of HKD 649,000.00 (€ 76,373.84).

In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Mountains In The Clouds für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Xiao Xun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape Album im Oktober 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 649.000,00 (€ 76.373,84).
