Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Intellectual Youth Series by Xiao Hong. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,394.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Hong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Series Of Intelligent Youths 2007 No. 1, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 42,391.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Intellectual Youth Series von Xiao Hong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.394,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Hong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Series Of Intelligent Youths 2007 No. 1 beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 67.000,00 (€ 42.391,65) versteigert wurde.
