The work Intellectual Youth No. 10 by Xiao Hong was worth HKD 360,000.00 (€ 36,159.90) to a buyer in May 2006. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xiao Hong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Series Of Intelligent Youths 2007 No. 1 sold at auction in March 2008 with the realized price of USD 67,000.00 (€ 42,391.65).
