Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape by Xiang Shengmo for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,236.93). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiang Shengmo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dreamin Of The Peach Pavillion in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 534,787.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape von Xiang Shengmo für USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.236,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiang Shengmo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dreamin Of The Peach Pavillion im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 534.787,31).
