A top price for Xia Jingguan
This artwork by Xia Jingguan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Waterfall In The Ravine sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,051.55) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. This high result makes Waterfall In The Ravine the most expensive artwork by Xia Jingguan that we have observed at auctions so far.
