Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Quai De L'Hôtel De Ville - 1958 by Xavier Valls. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,886.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xavier Valls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calella de P. in January 2006 with an auction result of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,766.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quai De L'Hôtel De Ville - 1958 von Xavier Valls zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.886,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xavier Valls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calella de P. im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 17.766,08).
