This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xavier Valls; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calella de P. sold at auction in January 2006 with the realized price of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,766.08).
