Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Back Garden by Wynford Dewhurst was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,611.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wynford Dewhurst have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work Blossom was auctioned for GBP 9,987.50 (€ 15,831.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Back Garden von Wynford Dewhurst wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.611,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Wynford Dewhurst konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2000 die Arbeit Blossom für GBP 9.987,50 (€ 15.831,42) versteigert.
