Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work A quiet stretch of river, traditionally identified as the Dordogne, France by Wynford Dewhurst for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,441.27). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wynford Dewhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blossom in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 15,831.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A quiet stretch of river, traditionally identified as the Dordogne, France von Wynford Dewhurst für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.441,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wynford Dewhurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blossom im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.987,50 (€ 15.831,42).
