Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ink Bamboo by Wu Zhen was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 2,500,000.00 (€ 295,089.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Zhen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studio Among Streams And Mountains, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 792,500.00 (€ 740,792.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ink Bamboo von Wu Zhen kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.500.000,00 (€ 295.089,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Zhen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Studio Among Streams And Mountains beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 792.500,00 (€ 740.792,67) versteigert wurde.
