Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wu Yun could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,763.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Yun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Letter To Lu Xinyuan, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,919.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Yun konnte im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Bamboo für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.763,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Yun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Letter To Lu Xinyuan beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.919,43) versteigert wurde.
