This artwork by Wu Shanzhuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Today No Water Series No. 37 sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 25,396.14) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Shanzhuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paradise, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 81,380.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Shanzhuan erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Today No Water Series No. 37 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 25.396,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanzhuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paradise beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 81.380,68) versteigert wurde.
