In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution, which included the work To Buy Is To Create by Wu Shanzhuan. The result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 46,174.80) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Other works by Wu Shanzhuan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2014 the work Paradise was auctioned for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 81,380.68).

Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution durch, in der auch die Arbeit To Buy Is To Create von Wu Shanzhuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 46.174,80) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanzhuan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2014 die Arbeit Paradise für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 81.380,68) versteigert.
