This artwork by Wu Shantao achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape Fan sold for HKD 51,750.00 (€ 4,910.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Shantao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five-Character Couplet In Running Script in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 377,600.00 (€ 44,113.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Shantao erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape Fan für HKD 51.750,00 (€ 4.910,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Shantao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Running Script im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 377.600,00 (€ 44.113,75).
