Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Qinmu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Scholar By The Tung Tree sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,211.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Qinmu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Scenery in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Qinmu erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Scholar By The Tung Tree für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.211,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Qinmu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Scenery im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95).
