The work Mountain Dwelling by Wu Qinmu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,194.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Wu Qinmu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Scenery in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mountain Dwelling von Wu Qinmu kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.194,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Qinmu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Scenery im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95).
