Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Sailing Home by Wu Qinmu was worth HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,819.32) to a buyer in December 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Qinmu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Scenery, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Sailing Home von Wu Qinmu war einem Käufer im Dezember 2015 HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.819,32) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Qinmu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Scenery beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95) versteigert wurde.
