It achieved a price of HKD 66,700.00 (€ 6,866.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Wu Qinmu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Scenery in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).

Die Arbeit Recluse In The Mountain; Seven-Character Poem In Runningscript von Wu Qinmu wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 66.700,00 (€ 6.866,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Qinmu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Scenery im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95).
