Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Qinmu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2015. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Pine Among Cloudy Mountains sold for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,364.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Qinmu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Scenery, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Qinmu erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Pine Among Cloudy Mountains für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 13.364,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Qinmu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Scenery beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95) versteigert wurde.
