The work Calligraphy by Wu Peifu was worth HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,525.55) to a buyer in December 2020. This price was achieved in the auction On Wings of Song: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Collection of Robert van Gulik at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Peifu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wu Peifu war einem Käufer im Dezember 2020 HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.525,55) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion On Wings of Song: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Collection of Robert van Gulik bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Peifu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04) versteigert wurde.
