A top price for Wu Peifu - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Wu Peifu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy In Cursive Script is the most expensive artwork by Wu Peifu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Wu Peifu wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy In Cursive Script das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wu Peifu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
