Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Pavilion By The Cliff by Wu Jingting. The price achieved of HKD 50,400 (€ 5,582) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 40,000 - 60,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Jingting - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2009 for HKD 225,000 (€ 21,916).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pavilion By The Cliff von Wu Jingting zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400 (€ 5.582) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000 – 60.000 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Jingting mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im April 2009 für HKD 225.000 (€ 21.916) versteigert wurde.
