Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Calligraphic Couplets by Wu Jingheng. The price achieved of HKD 47,200.00 (€ 5,314.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Jingheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,458.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Wu Jingheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 5.314,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Jingheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.458,71) versteigert wurde.
