Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Guandai achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia auction, the work Playing The Guqin sold for HKD 41,300.00 (€ 4,686.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guandai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers and Rubbings in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 65,020.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Guandai erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia wurde die Arbeit Playing The Guqin für HKD 41.300,00 (€ 4.686,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guandai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers and Rubbings im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 65.020,16).
