Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 POLY held the auction The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4, which included the work Haze On The Lotus Pond by Wu Guandai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,031.36), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guandai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers and Rubbings in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 65,020.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte POLY die Auktion The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Haze On The Lotus Pond von Wu Guandai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.031,36) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guandai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers and Rubbings im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 65.020,16).
