A top price for Wu Bin
When the work Fishing In Autumn by Wu Bin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 300,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 157,160.47). This high result makes Fishing In Autumn the most expensive artwork by Wu Bin that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Wu Bin
Als die Arbeit Fishing In Autumn von Wu Bin im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 300.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 157.160,47) mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Fishing In Autumn zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Wu Bin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
