This artwork by Wu Bin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Pavilions amidst Cloudy Mountains sold for HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 143,443.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Bin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fishing In Autumn sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 157,160.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Bin erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Pavilions amidst Cloudy Mountains für HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 143.443,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Bin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fishing In Autumn im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 157.160,47).
