Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
When the work Flower And Plants by Wu Bin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 8,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,606.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Bin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishing In Autumn in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 157,160.47).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Flower And Plants von Wu Bin im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 8.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.606,73) mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Bin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishing In Autumn im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 157.160,47).
