The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,516.42), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wonsook Kim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the shore, 1992, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,490.67).
