Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cherry blossoms, 2007 by Wonsook Kim was sold in the Japanese & Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,400.00 (€ 3,834.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wonsook Kim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the shore, 1992, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,490.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cherry blossoms, 2007 von Wonsook Kim wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Japanese & Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.400,00 (€ 3.834,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wonsook Kim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit By the shore, 1992 beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.490,67) versteigert wurde.
