Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Franz Kafka. by Wols for EUR 1,419.00. This price was achieved in the auction From the Olbricht Collection - Part III | ONLINE ONLY at VAN HAM in Cologne and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wols achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,617,250.00 (€ 3,082,901.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Franz Kafka. von Wols für EUR 1.419,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion From the Olbricht Collection - Part III | ONLINE ONLY bei VAN HAM in Köln erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wols erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.617.250,00 (€ 3.082.901,53).
