Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two Views Of London - Charing Cross Road by Wolfgang Suschitzky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 688.00 (€ 776.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wolfgang Suschitzky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cambridge Circus, London, which sold at auction in February 2021 for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,352.76).
