Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited, which included the work Desolate 02 by Wing Shya. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 40,320.00 (€ 5,031.11). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wing Shya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three works: Happy Together Stills (i) The Talk at Bar Sur; (ii) Prologue 2; (iii) Two to Tango, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 165,100.00 (€ 19,789.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited durch, in der auch die Arbeit Desolate 02 von Wing Shya zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 40.320,00 (€ 5.031,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wing Shya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three works: Happy Together Stills (i) The Talk at Bar Sur; (ii) Prologue 2; (iii) Two to Tango beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 165.100,00 (€ 19.789,07) versteigert wurde.
