Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Winfried Virnich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work without title sold for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,367.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 900.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Winfried Virnich; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ohne Titel sold at auction in June 2020 with the realized price of EUR 1,548.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Winfried Virnich erzielte im Januar 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.367,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 900,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Winfried Virnich; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Juni 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.548,00.
