Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Objeto Ativo by Willys de Castro. Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 75,000.00 (€ 57,745.61). Admittedly, works by Willys de Castro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Objeto Ativo: Duo in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 359,000.00 (€ 288,631.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Objeto Ativo von Willys de Castro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 75.000,00 (€ 57.745,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willys de Castro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Objeto Ativo: Duo im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 359.000,00 (€ 288.631,61).
