Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stream through the Trees by William Wendt was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. The price achieved of USD 35,840.00 (€ 32,856.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Wendt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Silence Of Night in June 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 259,245.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stream through the Trees von William Wendt kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.840,00 (€ 32.856,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Wendt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Silence Of Night im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 259.245,83).
