Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Travel, Science and Natural History, which included the work Native Americans Portaging A Canoe Along The Nipigon River by William Armstrong. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,662.47). Admittedly, works by William Armstrong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Kaministiquoia River, Lake Superior in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,023.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History durch, in der auch die Arbeit Native Americans Portaging A Canoe Along The Nipigon River von William Armstrong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.662,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Armstrong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Kaministiquoia River, Lake Superior im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.023,64).
