The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,157.50 (€ 14,798.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by William Armstrong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2010 the work On the Kaministiquoia River, Lake Superior was auctioned for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,023.64).
