Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Two Landscapes, One With A Church Spire Seen Across A Meadow, Traditionally Identified As Christ Church, Oxford by William Turner of Oxford. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,406.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Turner of Oxford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An April shower in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,601.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Landscapes, One With A Church Spire Seen Across A Meadow, Traditionally Identified As Christ Church, Oxford von William Turner of Oxford zur Versteigerung kam.
