Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection, which included the work Loch Duich And The Mountains Of Glen Shiel, Ross-Shire, Scotland by William Turner of Oxford. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,168.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Turner of Oxford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An April shower in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,601.44).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.168,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
